Jamie Ishcomer-Aazami

Acting Chief Operating Officer

Halito! My name is Jamie Ishcomer-Aazami. I am an enrolled citizen of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma and have extensive experience serving Indian Country at the regional and national level. I currently work as the Chief Operating Officer at the International Association for Indigenous Aging and have previously worked at the California Rural Indian Health Board, National Indian Health Board, and National Council of Urban Indian Health. I am passionate about addressing health disparities for American Indians and Alaska Natives and am devoted to transdisciplinary problem solving and systems and performance improvement. I received my Bachelors of Science in Community Health and minor in American Indian Studies from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. I graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with my Master of Public Health and Master of Social Work with a focus on health disparities impacting American Indian and other Indigenous communities. I live in the San Fernando Valley with my husband, two young sons, and our dog.
