On Tuesday, January 15th our organization took part in a special presentation hosted by PBS So Cal, Independent Lens, and the Autry Museum. The event showcased the premiere of the film Rumble: The Indians Who Rocked the World on PBS and throughout the night featured movie clips and a discussion panel featuring one of the film’s producers, Stevie Salas (Apache), actor Edward James Olmos, and Wayne Cramer of the American band, MC5.

The event was hosted by our own Development Director, Joseph Quintana who spoke throughout the evening about the organization, our community, and the advocacy work that is being done in Los Angeles. The night also saw some wonderful performances by Wildhorse Singers, the talented Raye Zaragoza (O’oDham), PJ Vegas and Indigenous Enterprise, and lastly the legendary Pat Vegas of Redbone who finished the evening with the world famous song “Come and Get Your Love”.
