Josie Bowman joined the UAII Board of Directors, bringing over two decades of professional experience in security, logistics, law enforcement, and executive assistance. A proud graduate of Tohatchi High School in New Mexico, Josie’s journey reflects a steadfast commitment to community service and leadership.
Josie has served in a range of roles that showcase her organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. From providing executive protection to the Navajo Nation’s Vice President to supporting her community during her tenure with the McKinley County Sheriff’s Department, she has consistently demonstrated adaptability, creativity, and dedication. She also brings valuable military experience, having served in the United States Army – New Mexico National Guard, where she honed her expertise in operational logistics and team leadership.
Certified in Executive Protection and Basic Law Enforcement, Josie continues to pursue excellence in her professional endeavors. Her diverse skill set—ranging from managing complex schedules to ensuring public safety—positions her as an impactful advocate for UAII’s mission to serve and empower the American Indian and Alaska Native communities.
With her extensive background and passion for making a difference, Josie Bowman is a vital contributor to UAII’s vision of building healthier futures for the Urban Native population.
