Betty Collins

Director of UAII Childcare and Resource Center

Betty Collins brings over 30 years of expertise to the field of early childhood education. She began her career as a Family Childcare Provider, operating a successful program for 20 years. She later served as a Professional Development Coach for the Family Child Care Home Education Network (FCCHEN), where she supported Family Childcare Providers in aligning their curricula with each child’s developmental needs and ensuring full compliance with Community Care Licensing regulations.

In addition to her coaching experience, Betty has worked both as a Head Start teacher and a preschool teacher in the private sector, gaining a well-rounded perspective on early learning environments.

Betty earned her bachelor’s degree with honors (Magna Cum Laude) and a master’s degree with Distinction in Early Childhood Education. Her lifelong passion for working with young children continues to inspire her commitment to providing high-quality early learning experiences.
