On July 25th, The United American Indian Involvement (UAII) hosted The People’s Home: Intertribal Indigenous Powwow at the Cal State Los Angeles campus, a first ever powwow on the campus.
Despite the heat, the event successfully united communities through traditional dance, art, music, and food. Seeing people coming together to honor traditions, support Native artists and vendors, and creating memories is what makes this event so special.
We thank every dancer, singer, elder, vendor, volunteer, staff member, sponsor, and guest who helped make this year’s Powwow a wonderful success. We look forward to seeing you at the next one!
